+--------------------------------+ +--------------------------------+ ASTERIODAL OCCULTATION - REPORT FORM +--------------------------------+ +--------------------------------+ EAON & IOTA-ES EUROPEAN ASTEROIDAL OCCULTATION NETWORK INTERNATIONAL OCCULTATION TIMING ASSOCIATION EUROPEAN SECTION +--------------------------------+ +--------------------------------+ 1 DATE : 26/FEB/2003 STAR : TYC 1396-00339-1 ASTEROID : (275) SAPIENTIA 2.OBSERVER: Name: Stefano SPOSETTI Address: CH-6525 Gnosca, Switzerland E-mail: spo@bluewin.ch 3.OBSERVING STATION: Nearest city: CH-6500 Bellinzona Station: Gnosca Observatory Latitude: 46deg 13min 54sec (N) Longitude: 9deg 1min 30sec (E) Altitude: 260 m Single/Multiple: single 4.TIMING OF EVENTS: Occultation recorded: NO 5.TELESCOPE: Type: Newtonian Aperture: 40cm Magnification: - Mount: equatorial Motor drive: no 6.TIMING & RECORDING: Timekeeping: telephone speaking clock Mode of recording: CCD scan Device of recording: CCD 7.OBSERVING CONDITIONS: Atmospheric transparency: good Wind: no Star image stability: good Temperature: 0 deg C 8.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Due to CCD "drift scan" mode I observed no occultation in seven 70-seconds intervals. U.T. intervals : from 23:51:22 to 23:52:32 from 23:52:42 to 23:53:52 from 23:54:02 to 23:55:12 from 23:55:23 to 23:56:33 from 23:56:43 to 23:57:53 from 23:58:03 to 23:59:13 from 23:59:23 to 00:00:33 Precision of time measurement: +-1sec. My location was about 50km north of the northern limit of the path given in the Jan Manek update, so I am not surprised nore disappointed for my negative result. I think, in opposite, that my negative measure constrain the effective ground path. Sincerely, S. Sposetti
